Direct answer: Select QR Creator in Android's system share menu, inspect the incoming content on the confirmation screen, and continue only when it is correct. Text and links enter creation; images enter a constrained scan flow.

Step by step

  1. Choose content in another app. Select supported text or a link in a browser, or choose one or more supported images in a gallery or file-capable app.
  2. Open Android Share. Use the system share action and select QR Creator as the destination.
  3. Review the confirmation screen. Check the text, link or image selection before allowing it to enter a creation or scan flow.
  4. Continue to the appropriate workflow. Text and links continue to the relevant editor; images continue to constrained gallery scanning.
  5. Review the final result. Verify created codes before export and review scanned results before choosing any external action.

What does not happen automatically

  • Receiving a share does not automatically generate or save a QR code.
  • A shared image does not automatically open a recognized link, dial a number or connect to a network.
  • External image addresses, original filenames and image binaries are not written into history.

History follows your settings

If scanned history is enabled, a successful and deduplicated scan result may be kept according to that setting. The external file itself is not stored in the history database.

For larger image selections, continue with scanning multiple QR images from the gallery.
